Phillip S. Cook, 70, of Thatcher, passed away on July 6, 2017 in Tucson. He was born on February 25, 1947 in Kentucky to Raymond and Hester Cook. They later moved to Tucson and Phillip attended school there and graduated from Pueblo High School. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army. He was proud of his service to his country. Phillip worked as a service manager for Haralsons, Hatch, and Oasis. He was a “Jack of All Trades”, he could do about anything. Later he moved to Thatcher. He married Virginia “Ginger” Hall on July 4, 1999 in Tucson. He loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Gila Valley American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Ginger Hall of Thatcher; sons, Phillip Cook (Becky) of Phoenix, and Chris Cook (Julie) of Thatcher; daughter, Cindy Cook of Thatcher; brother Charles Cook (Wendy) of Tucson and sister Lynette Russell of San Diego, 7 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren.
Memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the McDougal’s Caldwell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mary Dotson conducting. Military honors will follow.
